A clumping bamboo, Alphonse Karr is similar to Green Hedge bamboo, however the culms and branches are bright yellow with irregular dark green stripes.
New shoots and culms often have a reddish/pink color
Great for a hedge, however remember to keep in mind that it can grow to 25 ft
(think power lines)
